The best photos from the annual competition for Refoto Magazine
Serbian photographic magazine ReFoto, in his ten-year history, initiated and organized a large number of photo contests for its readers. During the whole last year, they had their most massive competition so far titled "Monochrome world" ("Monohromatski svet") and they got over 5,000 images. Subject "Monochrome world" enabled photographers to go back to a bit forgotten black and white photo, which has become very popular again, after the great expansion of digital technology in the last years.
During the year the magazine ReFoto has been publishing selection of the best photos submitted every month and I was lucky to have more than few of my images published there. January issue of the magazine brought us the winners of the competition (Goran Tešanović, Slavko Radman and Tijana Jovanović), together with few praised photographers - you can check them at the magazines website.
To finish the competition in big style, the organizers arranged a big accompanying exhibition that will feature selection of the best photos from the entire competition - I was just informed that one of my photos will also be there (update: it's Elias Araya, drummer from great band Junip). Artget Gallery, located in the "The Cultural Centre of Belgrade", will be the home of the exhibition which will be held between January 12th to February 19th 2012 - if you're in Belgrade at that time, be sure to check it out! ;)
