Mično pomično 2016 - Gathering of belly dance groups in Maribor

Pandora - Art of Pole studio photoshoot 2025

Monday, 24/03/2025

I had the privilege once again to photograph the talented students and teachers of Pandora – Art of Pole, a renowned Slovenian pole dance school based in Maribor. For this session, we returned to a dark studio setup, a style I love for the creative control it offers—allowing me to shape the light and sculpt their incredible movements I could never, ever, ever achieve myself! :)

Pandora - Art of Pole studio photoshoot 2024 #2

Saturday, 02/11/2024

After an intense yet energising first day of our pole dance studio photoshoot, the second day took on a different approach. While the first day was focused on capturing a large number of dancers with a tight schedule, the second day was reserved for the teachers of Pandora - Art of Pole, a renowned pole dance school in Maribor.

Pandora - Art of Pole studio photoshoot 2024 #1

Saturday, 26/10/2024

A few months ago, I had the privilege of photographing the talented pole dancers (and some of their teachers) from Pandora - Art of Pole, a well-known Maribor-based pole dance school, in a studio setting. This wasn’t my first time capturing their artistry — it’s become a wonderful tradition to provide the students with lasting memories of their hard work throughout the school year and the incredible progress they’ve made.

18. Platforma sodobnega plesa (18th Platform of Contemporary Dance)

Although few events have already taken place, the official opening of the 18^th edition of Festival Platforma was reserved for the Italian performance titled "Graces" ("Gracije"), choreographed by Silvia Gribaudi.

Maribor was once again alive with contemporary dance performances, as Festival Platforma took over various venues around the city for the 18^th year in a row!

2023 calendar photoshoot

Shooting Edita for a 2023 calendar was surely one of the longest, but also a photoshoot filled with many, many loud laughs that I had in years! :)

31. Odprta plesna scena (31st Open Dance Scene)

Choreographed by internationally renowned choreographer Mojca Ussar, this great performance was a pure joy to photograph!

I’m always flabbergasted by the easiness and grace dancers perform their acts, maybe even more when it comes to the pole dancers. Simply amazing! :)

Dancers in studio photo shoot: Lucija Jalincienė

Tuesday, 19/04/2022

Continuing with photographing dancers in my photo studio in Maribor, my next dancer was amazing Lucija Jalincienė, another dancer that I photographed performing many, many times in the past.

"Plesni utripi" featured dance schools and groups from Maribor region and it was divided into two nights - some amazing performances there, I really enjoyed it photographing!

My 8th Winter dance school in a row, but this time in a way different.

Mojca pole dance calendar photo shoot

Wednesday, 01/12/2021

I was contacted recently by Mojca, a pole dance student of Pandora - Art of Pole pole dance school, with a very specific request - she wanted to do a photoshoot of herself doing pole dance poses for a calendar. Needless to say, the challenge sounded to good to be true so I jumped at the idea immediately :)

This past weekend I was very happy and privileged, to document 32nd Winter dance school (32. Zimska plesna šola) - my third in a roll - that was organised by JSKD and held in Plesna izba Maribor. Full of very talented young dancers and their great mentors, this workshop was again, just as last two years, a joy to photograph! :)

First part (out of three!) of the summer production of Plesna Izba Maribor featuring their youngest dancers!

Besides live music and festivals, dance is probably my favourite subject to photograph, so when I got a chance to shoot gathering of local belly dance groups last week, I was immediately on board! :)

Last weekend, I've been very privileged to photograph amazing young dancers from whole Slovenia (plus some foreign guests) with their amazing mentors, during the 30th Winter dance school (30. Zimska plesna šola). Such passion and talent in one place - simply, for a lack of better word, amazing!

Plesna izba Maribor's annual winter dance show production

Continuing our great collaboration with Maribor’s well know dance school & dance company Plesna Izba Maribor, I documented another annual winter show production of the most of their different classes - from small kids to jazz and modern/contemporary dancers!

During this 16 days of Festival Lent, I also shoot some (contemporary) dance performances and theatre for children - find some of those images in this gallery :)
