Mojca pole dance calendar photo shoot

I was contacted recently by Mojca, a pole dance student of Pandora - Art of Pole pole dance school, with a very specific request - she wanted to do a photoshoot of herself doing pole dance poses for a calendar. Needless to say, the challenge sounded to good to be true so I jumped at the idea immediately :)

I proposed, and Mojca agreed, that we do a classic black and white photographs on simple white background, so that she would be the main star of the photograph, without and distracting elements. With a big help from Breza and Natka (thank you!) we made a photo studio at Pandora’s HQ, and Mojca did her magic :)

Sadly, her teacher Maja Logar couldn't be with us on that day due to illness, but Mojca was a true professional which made my job as a photographer relatively easy :)
And yes, her husband LOVED the calendar he got as a gift! :)

Pandora - Art of Pole studio photoshoot 2025 - winter edition

This winter was quite rough for me. I spent almost three weeks stuck at home due to a winter flu that swept through my family — and a good part of Maribor, Slovenia, and beyond. That’s the main reason I’m so behind on publishing photographs from this great photoshoot on my blog.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of spending time in the wonderful company of the dancers from Pandora - Art of Pole, as they performed their tenth edition of Pandorina skrinjica (Pandora’s Box), annual performance that usually takes the big stage of Narodni dom Maribor.

I had the privilege once again to photograph the talented students and teachers of Pandora – Art of Pole, a renowned Slovenian pole dance school based in Maribor. For this session, we returned to a dark studio setup, a style I love for the creative control it offers—allowing me to shape the light and sculpt their incredible movements I could never, ever, ever achieve myself! :)

After an intense yet energising first day of our pole dance studio photoshoot, the second day took on a different approach. While the first day was focused on capturing a large number of dancers with a tight schedule, the second day was reserved for the teachers of Pandora - Art of Pole, a renowned pole dance school in Maribor.

A few months ago, I had the privilege of photographing the talented pole dancers (and some of their teachers) from Pandora - Art of Pole, a well-known Maribor-based pole dance school, in a studio setting. This wasn’t my first time capturing their artistry — it’s become a wonderful tradition to provide the students with lasting memories of their hard work throughout the school year and the incredible progress they’ve made.
