Few moths ago I had a privilege to work with amazing pole dancers and teachers of Pandora - Art of Pole dance school in Maribor, Slovenia.

The team needed some promotional images with a special request - we should do it on pure white background so they can use it in design on their promotional materials, and they would arrange the props and costumes so every photograph would represent one special day / holiday - fore example, Valentine’s day, Easter, New Years eve and so on :)

My assistant Matic helped me to transport all my photographic equipment from my photo studio to their location in center of the town and make an impromptu photo studio on location. The whole photo shoot was a blast and included a lot of laugh, and in the end, even Matic showed some pole dance skills that nobody (probably even him!) didn’t know he had! :)

The main idea for this year production is different music and dance style throughout the last century, so my idea for the visual representation was to show outfits typical for different time periods (which usually you wouldn’t wear at the same time) in one photo :)

Uroš Kaurin and Vito Weis are two brilliant Slovenian actors whose performance Heroj 2.0 (Hero 2.0) made quite a big impression on me and my wife Špela. I’m sad I haven’t seen the first performance (Heroj 1.0), but was very excited when I was commissioned to shoot the promotional photographs for the third performance for which we did a photoshoot in Ljubljana few weeks ago.
