While in Berlin, I was really happy to see once again Yuck, really cool young indie rock band from London. I saw them first time this summer at FM4 Frequency festival, and I really liked their music - mix of Dinosaur Jr. meets Yo La Tengo plus a bit of Pixies and Sonic Youth...

Adriano Celentano Gebäckorchester is a group of musicians performing old Italian pop songs using a name of a famous Italian singer, songwriter, comedian, actor and film director as a hommage. Their gig was mixed with a birthday party, so the level of dance, singing and fun among the crowd in the crowded underground club Antje Öklesund was quite, quite high!

To any fan of The Clash, London Calling means only one thing. But this night, under this name, we got a night of stand-up comedy featuring four great comedians: Ron Vaundry (Canada), Javier Jarquin (New Zealand), Matt Price (UK) and Domagoj Pintarić (Croatia).

Apparatjik are Magne Furuholmen (a-ha), Guy Berryman (Coldplay), Jonas Bjerre (Mew) and producer Martin Terefe. They are four guys in shiny uniforms playing in a cube. They are 50% art and 50% pop!

Four outstanding musicians, gathered under the name of Ginger Baker & Jonas Hellborg Group, gave us two hours of very energetic (and in some moments, very loud), inspiring and moving music.

Opening concert for the "Leibnitzer Jazztage 2011" jazz festival was a very interesting and very cool project between young classical and jazz musicians from Austria, Slovenia and Croatia and a jazz legend, trumpeter and Grammy award winner Randy Brecker.

My second gig the same evening after the cool Handsome Furs was the Swedish pop rock collective I'm from Barcelona. I'm saying collective, 'cause they have about 29 (!) members, though when touring, it's "just" somewhere between 10 and 15 of them on stage.

This Canadian indie rock duo consisting of spouses Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade, Atlas Strategic) and writer/musician Alexei Perry, really rocked club Tvornica in Zagreb last Friday!
