One of the definitive highlights of this years European Capital of Culture (ECOC) project that is happening all year round in Maribor (and few other towns in Slovenia) was surely performance of Laurie Anderson, New York based singer and versatile artist, eclectic author, best known for her multimedia performances and innovative use of technology.

Great night with all-star jazz quintet consisting of legendary Ray Anderson on trombone, Paul van Kemenade (alto saxophone), Frank Möbus (guitar), Ernst Glerum (double bas) and 70 years old "forever young" Han Bennink on drums.

We come in Peace

Just one week after their special retrospective concert performance in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern in London (first band that had that kind of a show there) and a little less that a year after their last appearance in Maribor, probably the most known Slovenian band worldwide is back in town. And this time, they came in peace!

One of the highlight of this years Romano Čhon festival (festival presenting Roma culture, its music, dance, poetry, film, puppets, workshops, lectures and exhibitions) that was happening in April in six towns in Slovenia and two in Serbia, was surely the concert of macedonian vocalist, songwriter, and humanitarian, Roma Queen and Nobel Prize Nominee from 2002, Esma Redžepova.

Evening of Polish culture in Maribor's Kino Udarnik featured the Trio of the famous Polish jazz pianist and composer Artur Dutkiewicz, finalist of the Thelonious Monk Competition in Washington, USA.

In what was to became a beginning of a weekend filled with concerts, I managed to quickly caught the performance of the band Nula Kelvina whose members are Marko Boh, Klemen Kotar, Jure Rožman and Gašper Kržmanc.

Stone Raiders, previously known as the Black Stone Raiders, are a super-band consisting of three excellent and highly praised musicians: Jean-Paul Bourelly, Darryl Jones and Will Calhoun.

The first and long awaited appearance of the Dropkick Murphys in Croatia, this Irish-American punk rock guys, was a total success for the band and their numerous fans. This sold out concert for us photographers meant it's gonna be hard work...

Promoting their new record named "Pilula", Lollobrigida made this evening a full visual and musical experience for all of their fans.

This was Dale Watson's second gig in Zagreb and it was already broadcasted live on the Croatian national radio - that's a good sign of the sort of cult status he's got here!
