Isabelle Geffroy, young French singer better know as Zaz, is a musical and sociological phenomenon of our times, that's for sure. This 32 years old French singer with a specific, rough voice, released only one album ("Zaz", 2010) but made quite a career
for herself already.
Usually, one hit wonders that fill up the big concerts halls are not playing the music that I normally listen or enjoy, but this one was quite different. Supported by local Croatian Damir Kukuruzović Gypsy Swing Quartet, Zaz's mixing of jazzy styles, French variety, soul and acoustic made this evening a really fun one.
It would have been nice to have the opportunity to shoot the atmosphere in the audience during the concert also, but sadly, strict rules didn't allow that.
Festival Lent, Maribor (Slovenia), 20/06 > 05/07/2014
Shooting 16 days lasting festival (!!) as one of the official photographers can be really tough, but a great joy, too! Here is the first gallery of photos from this years festival, others are following!
