Odprti studio za gledalce - Nagib k procesu @ Minoritska cerkev, Maribor (Slovenia), 10/10/2020
Nagib is well known Maribor based society for cultural production that have been working in the field of contemporary dance for some years now. This season, they’ve organised community gathering for artists who live or work in Maribor in the field of contemporary dance, coordinated by Petra Hazabent and Katja Kosi. As they put is: "It is a space intended for creative work, experimentation,
practice, group or individual creation, questioning of various creative practices and processes…".
Last Saturday, there was a first community gathering as an Open Studio for Spectators (Odprti studio za gledalce - Nagib k procesu) in the beautiful Minorite Church of the Maribor Puppet Theatre. Four Maribor based artists (April Veselko, Špela Huzjak, Živa Stojanovič and Katja Kosi) made a great performance which I was honoured to photograph.
Some of the photos that I took at the recent dance photography workshop with Chris Nash, along with the ones from my fellow photographers, will be shown as part of The Moving Gallery project in the next two days, as part of Front@, contemporary dance festival.
SNG Maribor, Velika dvorana, Maribor (Slovenia), 24/06/2011
Annual show production of all the different classes of the Maribors dance school & dance company Plesna izba Maribor called "Ljubi kruhek". All in all, a lot of work but really a great show, from small kids to experienced dancers and drummers!
