Joey Burns (Calexico) @ Pauk, Zagreb (Croatia), 27/11/2012
Calexico, this legendary Tucson, Arizona-based Americana / Tex-Mex / indie rock band is no stranger to Croatian audience, which was clearly seen last night in Pauk, Zagreb.
Presenting their new, and a very good, album Algiers (2012), together with a lot of their older known songs, Joey Burns, John Convertino and the rest of the gang made a special evening for all of us. Finale with
the whole gang of the supporting band Blind Pilot (which I sadly missed), was just one of many highlights of the evening, with "Crystal Frontier" being another definitive hit.
Zagreb loves Calexico and the love is definitely mutual!
