My third concert of Eels (and all of them took place in the same club, in the same town!), and in many ways, most successful one!
Promoting their latest album "Wonderful, Glorious", Mark Oliver Everett and the gang gave the full packed and sold out Orpheum a night to remember!
Visually interesting (not like the last gig 3 years ago when we had only Mark in the same position on stage for the first 3 songs that we were allowed to photograph) and musically uplifting, it was really a great gig. After two encores, the lights went on and we start talking what a great concert this was. But! The band came again on stage, and with the help of two costumed characters, finished the night big time!
Supported by the young and talented Nicole Atkins, they performed a brilliant concert - my cousin from Zagreb came to see them, and not being much of a fan before the gig, later she said that it was one of hers top 5 gigs in her life, which says a lot, since she has seen a few.
In two words: Wonderful, Glorious!
