Very special concert for many different reasons, in no particular order:
- Tadej's gigs are always great, especially when he adds few jokes to his repertoire, and he usually does :)
- Great guest musicians with him on stage - although Severa Gjurin, one of the most beautiful female voices in Slovenia, couldn't come due to illness, her multitalented brother Gal Gjurin did. As did my wife Špela Huzjak on violin and Andrej Hrvatin of percussions, which was a winning combination!
- The gig was his first since his new album "Naša dejanja odmevajo v večnost" was published - since me and my wife were a part of it (Špela played on two songs, I did the photography for the cover and booklet), it was great to be there!
- And finally, thanks to our baby sitter, both Špela and I could be there (at the same time!) which made it, of course, very special for us! :)

One day after my wife Špela played with her band Djembabe in Maribor, she was playing with her other (new) band - Madame Brumowski - in a fabulous outdoor venue of an old quarry (stone pit). And we were able to arrange babysitting again (I explained the problem in my last blogpost), so I was very lucky to be there! :)

Free train raid from Maribor to Ruše, bus from Ruše uphill to Pohorje mountain, an hour of hiking through the woods, then a concert of a cool band in a mountain house - sounds like a great Friday afternoon / night, right?

Tadej Vesenjak, legendary young generation singer songwriter, with a bunch of great musicians (including my wife Špela on violin!) and a handful of great songs! Great concert, as I can remember, as his gigs usually are!
Benefit for Dvorana Gustaf

Underground culture means usually little money for organising the regular program and paying the monthly bills. Winter months are especially problematic, since the heating bills can get pretty big and that's where this benefit concert for helping the Gustaf club comes to play!
