Adriano Celentano Gebäckorchester

I was lucky to be in Berlin again - it's the town that I really love. With it's diversity, vibrant and creative atmosphere, full of great people from all around the world, it's probably one of the places to be at the moment (well, actually, it's been like that for some time now). My wife, a professional violinist, had few rehearsals and one small gig with some talented musicians from Poland and Slovenia, so I jumped in and joined the adventure. Of course, we used the opportunity to check as many concerts as we could, and the Adriano Celentano Gebäckorchester was the first of them.

Adriano Celentano Gebäckorchester is a group of musicians performing old Italian pop songs ("24 mila baci", "L'americano" and "Parole" are just some of them) using a name of a famous Italian singer, songwriter, comedian, actor, film director and TV host Adriano Celentano. Concert took place in the Antje Öklesund, very cool underground club which has been nicely renovated from the last time when I was here. Small stage with a lot of people, instruments ranging from guitar to violin, flute and use of different stuff for instruments - for example, using a broom to play drums - meant only one thing: crazy party! From what I experienced that night, their name could become easily become a synonym for that exactly, just themed in a Italian style. This night, their gig was mixed with a birthday party, so the level of dance, singing and fun among the crowd in the crowded club was quite, quite high, with us included :)

Gear wise, I was really shooting light: I used only my Nikkor 35mm f/1.8, which with the 1.5x crop sensor on my D300s is somewhere about standard 50mm lens. I also had my Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 in the bag, but the light in the club was quite low, plus, I just enjoyed so much shooting with a small lens after some time now, that I rather moved my feet, than changed my lens :)
